WHAT IS A FELONY?
According to Blacks Law Dictionary, Fifth Edition A crime of a graver
or more serious nature that those designated as misdemeanors; e.g. aggravated
assault (felony) as contrasted with simple assault (misdemeanor). Under federal
law, and many statutes, any offense punishable by death or imprisonment for a
term exceeding one year
WHAT IS A MISDEMEANOR?
According to Blacks Law Dictionary, Fifth Edition Offenses lower than
felonies and generally those punishable by fine or imprisonment otherwise than
in a penitentiary
.
WHAT IS A DELINQUENT ACT?
A "child who has been found to have committed a delinquent
act" means a child who, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 985, Florida
Statutes, is found by a court to have committed a violation of law or to be
in direct or indirect contempt of court. Violations of law as they relate to
delinquency normally mean those acts which if committed by adults are crimes.

It is the Juveniles/Parents responsibility to keep the Clerks Office
informed of their correct address.
If your mailing address changes, you must submit in writing,
your new address in person or by mail to the appropriate department:

Failure to appear for a scheduled Court appearance, could result in you or your child being arrested.
WHERE DO I MAKE RESTITUTION PAYMENTS?
Restitution payments are made through the Juvenile Division
located in the Clerk of Circuit Court.
Your restitution order will indicate the amount of restitution due and the fees imposed. Payments are accepted
through the mail or in person. Checks or money orders should have your name and complete case number.
Your payments should be
mailed to the Clerk's Office nearest you.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY COURT DATE?
In order to reschedule your court date , you must
contact your attorney. The Clerks Office is not authorized to reschedule your court date.
